I am so excited to start another year at Mosely. I am Carol Saldaña and I will be teaching 8th grade mathematics. I will be entering my sixth year in Aurora Public Schools. Before coming to Edna and John W. Mosley P-8, I taught 9th/10th grade mathematics at Hinkley High School and 7th/ 8th grade in California for 7 years. My husband and I are enjoying the chaotic life of raising three daughters 13, 9, and 4. In my free time (which isn’t much, hahaha), I enjoy coaching my daughters in their various sports endeavors (soccer, basketball, and softball), playing slo-pitch softball, and cheering on my Anaheim Angels. The thing I am most excited about for the 2016-17 school year is building on all the growth students made as mathematicians from last school year! My job is to accelerate learning for every APS student, every day. I do my job by building relationships with each of my students, intentionally seizing every moment as an opportunity to positively impact student outcomes, and participating in on-going professional development to continue my growth as a mathematics educator. My community needs me to do my job.
