Hi, my name is Jessica Johns, and I am the Reading Interventionist for Mosley. My job will be to work with students in small groups and support them in reading instruction. I have been teaching in Aurora Public Schools for 13 years. Before coming to Edna and John W. Mosley P-8, I was a Teaching Partner, and I’ve taught 1st and 2nd grade. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling to new places. The thing I am most excited about for the school year is working hard with a great group of students! My job is to accelerate learning for every APS student, every day. I do my job by building relationships with my students and their families, using the state standards, data, and learning targets to plan differentiated lessons and engaging activities for all types of learners, and I continuously take professional development and implement my new learning to ensure that my students are getting the best possible instruction. My community needs me to do my job.
