Military Families

Welcome to Mosley Military Families!

We are excited to welcome you to Mosley P-8, where our mission is to support military families and children as they transition into our community. I hope you find the below information helpful

Respectfully, Ruth Baldivia, Principal

About John W. Mosley

John W. Mosley, an Air Force Veteran, and his wife are the namesakes of our school. We are incredibly proud to honor them and their service. Military families are given priority in our enrollment process because we are deeply committed to providing the best support for military children and families.

Serving All Ages

Mosley serves children from 3 years old in preschool through 8th grade. While preschool enrollment is managed outside of Mosley, our school houses three preschool classrooms on the West side of our campus.

Mental Health Support

We have a dedicated team of mental health professionals who support both general education students and those on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Jennifer Sprinkle, our full-time Military Family Life Counselor, is available to address the unique needs of military children and works closely with our counselors, social workers, and psychologists. Please don't hesitate to contact any of our team members if you have questions or concerns.

Anchored 4 Life - Resilience & Leadership

This year, we launched Anchored 4 Life, a student leadership club focused on helping students build resilience, especially for military children facing unique challenges. While the club originally focused on military children, it also includes civilian students, fostering community and support for all.

Enrollment Process

Registering students in APS is a two-step process (paperless and online):

  1. Step 1: Register your student online or in person at Centralized Admissions. You'll need specific documents to complete the registration, Birth Certificate, Immunization records, proof of address, and any prior school academic related documents.
  2. Step 2: Once registered, bring the "Student Admission Slip" to Mosley to complete the process by logging into the Parent Portal.

Student Electives

  • K-5 Students: Have daily specials (45 minutes) that rotate between Physical Education, Music, Art, Technology, and Library.
  • Middle School Students: Have more opportunities to choose electives, such as Choir, Orchestra, Band, 3D Sculptures, Digital Photography, and Physical Fitness. These courses vary depending on student interests and the expertise of our specialists.

After-School Clubs & Activities

Mosley offers numerous after-school clubs and activities, some of which require a minimum grade level. These include:

  • Tutoring
  • Tech Trek
  • Running Club (Fall & Spring Semesters)
  • Mindfulness Club
