My name is Alison Ledesma and I am a second grade teacher. My career in education has included teaching second grade at Mosley last year, teaching third grade the year prior, and working 8 years as a paraprofessional, all within the Aurora Public School District.
I am a proud mother of three children, two of which have attended the Aurora Public Schools since elementary school and are now in high school. My youngest child is a toddler who will be looking ahead to attending Mosley for preschool in near future.
In my free time, I enjoying getting outdoors with my family and working toward our goal of climbing every one of the 50+ 14ners in Colorado.
I am most excited for the opportunity to help facilitate a strong growth mind-set in the students at Mosley this year! Having the opportunity to help student recognize and develop their character while teaching them fundamental academic skills is an honor and makes Mosley a pretty special place.
My job is to accelerate learning for every APS student, every day. I do my job by taking time each day to reflect on my teaching practices in relation to the learning outcomes of my students. This allows me to direct my future instruction toward meeting each students' individual educational needs to the best of my ability. My community needs me to do my job.
