Hi, my name is Heather Jolin, and I am a 5th grade teach. I have been working in the Aurora Public Schools for 6 years. This year marks my 19th year in education. I am originally from upper Michigan and I moved here to Colorado just over 6 years ago. Before coming to Edna and John W. Mosley P-8, I taught 5th grade, 1st grade, kindergarten, Michigan School Readiness (preschool), as a librarian, and as a sub for 3 years. My oldest son, his wife and their two boys now live here in Colorado and my daughter, her fiancé, and their son Grayson live here too. My middle son, Anthony, lives in Virginia and my youngest son, Austin, lives in lower Michigan. In my free time, I enjoy camping, swimming, dancing, and concerts. The thing I am most excited about for the 2019-20 school year is helping your child ACHIEVE Academic, social, and emotional growth, building RELATIONSHIPS with my students and their families, and sharing in your child’s successes! My job is to accelerate learning for every APS student, every day. I do my job by providing a safe and nurturing environment, by recognizing and teaching to the unique needs of each student, and by challenging students to reach their greatest potential. My community needs me to do my job.
