Brandon Phelps

Hi, my name is Brandon Phelps, and I am the K-8 Drama Teacher. I am new to APS this year, however, I have been teaching drama for over 5 years. Before coming to Edna and John W. Mosley P-8, I was teaching middle school drama for 4 years and then at the middle school/high school level for a year, directing shows ranging from K -12 at my previous schools, and performing in shows around Colorado. In my free time, I enjoy acting, singing, dancing, reading history books and biographies, advocacy, writing, directing, hiking, traveling, and playing video games (go PS4!). The thing I am most excited about for the 2019-20 school year is creating relationships with the students, parents, and staff at Mosley while helping empower my students voices and self expression through the performing arts! My job is to accelerate learning for every APS student, every day. I do my job by empowering my artists to critically examine the world around them, reflecting their culture, individuality, and empathy in their work to tell engaging stories, entertain, and create positive change for themselves, others, and the world in which we live. My community needs me to do my job.
